CARBON NEUTRAL

100% Carbon Neutral

For a number of years the Sukin parent company has worn the Carbon Neutral Logo alongside own. We’re proud to now extend our commitment to Carbon Neutrality to DermaSukin.

Working closely with the Carbon Reduction Institute of Australia, Sukin have been able to effectively reduce, measure and offset all carbon emissions involved in the operation of business.

For Sukin, and now DermaSukin, this includes everything from product manufacture, freight, office operations, and warehouse operations.

The frequent and stringent reporting measures of the CRI allow Sukin and DermaSukin to identify those areas of greatest impact to our environment, and seek out strategies for reducing these emissions, alongside purchasing credits for all emissions we are responsible for.

Our aim is to neutralise the negative effect carbon emissions are potentially having on climate change, and in effect, our environment.

RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

DermaSukin uses PET plastic on most full size products. With its plant-based raw material structure, the PET plastic is 100% recyclable.

We encourage all DermaSukin bottles to be recycled, as this process, allowed only through the use of PET plastic, uses less than 30% of the energy in initial production of virgin PET.

Working closely with the Carbon Reduction Institute of Australia, Sukin have been able to effectively reduce, measure and offset all carbon emissions involved in the operation of business.

Keeping PET in use and demand means that recycling rates remain high, encouraging innovative companies to transform the refined PET recycled flakes into new and sustainable products.

Whilst the plastic pump itself is made of polypropylene, the internal workings of the pump have the usual metal springs. These springs are also recyclable and are separated during the recycling wash process before being sent to various places for re-use.

Sukin uses LDPE tubes. LDPE is recycled and is used to produce a wide range of products such as rubbish bags, floor tiles, panelling, furniture, compost bins, rubbish bins and a large number of other smaller packaging, bottles, lids etc….it has the ability to be recycled and re-processed many times over.

Our aim is to neutralise the negative effect carbon emissions are potentially having on climate change, and in effect, our environment.

Sukin uses amber glass for its Moisture Restoring Night Cream and Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil products. Glass is recyclable and can be placed in most local recycle streams.

NO ANIMAL TESTING

DermaSukin has been dedicated to cruelty free practices and products from day one. We source from suppliers who do not test on animals, as well as ensure our own manufacturing and testing processes are completely free from animal testing.

Further to this DermaSukin is a proud vegan brand, refraining from use of animal derivatives such as lanolin as well as animal by-products like honey and bees wax.

GREY WATER SAFE

The DermaSukin range has been formulated to be biodegradeable and grey water safe.

Australians in particular are no strangers to water shortage and drought, and with every drop being precious, many households have taken to using their everyday water run-off (showers, kitchen sink and laundry basin) as water for their plants and gardens.

Because of the gentle, plant based nature of DermaSukin products, water waste generated after use of DermaSukin products will not harm or cause build up on your plants and gardens.

We encourage our customers to save and re-use water wherever they can.

For more information on grey water usage, visit your local government website for information relevant to your local area / country of residence. Always check the guidelines / suggestions outlined before using grey water.
